GIVING FLIGHT

I can hardly believe that it has been a whole year since I took Kelly Rae Roberts' Flying Lessons, and became a part of the Fly Tribe. Not wanting to let this anniversary pass without commemorating it in some special way, we decided to pool our funds and offer a scholarship for the final, on-line offering of Flying Lessons. Well, this group of amazing artists donated enough money to offer (at last count) 8 scholarships to Flying Lessons! Awesome! There's more good news, Kelly Rae Roberts generously offered to match our contribution, that's 16 scholarships for this life-changing on-line class!
Flying Lessons gave me the inspiration to finally get this blog started, and connected me with a group of creative soul sisters. I can't imagine a more supportive group of friends. One year out, through our Facebook group, we are still sharing, laughing, and helping each other move toward our creative goals. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, there is someone there, whether it's a question of art biz or life. We have celebrated each other's successes and lifted one another up in times of trouble.
Pondering how to "pay it forward" as a group has encouraged each of us to examine how we give back in our daily lives.  Me? I'm a long time therapeutic riding volunteer, helping disabled children and adults take flight on horseback. It is a joy!
Hope you'll take some time to browse the Giving Flight Blog Hop (officially opens at midnight tonight), and if you have yearnings of a creative nature, enter to WIN  the Flying Lessons e-course. You could be a lucky scholarship winner and learn to fly!
