SUNDAY

Today was a puttering around kind of day. As usual, I did not get all the way through my to-do list, partly because my cranky back started bothering me again while cleaning the barn. We did wander into town for some lunch and knocked the mud off the little "piggies" in the barn. Then, Mr. C. did paperwork, while I played around with my camera, made a new blog header, and "tortured" the animals with St. Patrick's day props, in an attempt to discover who's going to be a team player on the day.
Spent two hours on Picasa, making a green collage to use as a header, only to scrap it, and go with daffodils! Sometimes simple is best! What do you think?
Muddy, but still pretty!
Shameless mooch! Must do something about those goat whiskers this week!
Lily (bless her heart) wore the shamrock headband, but only around her neck. Couldn't keep it on her head!
Kitty was not amused, at all, not the teensiest bit!
Nigel, dapper in a bowtie. We'll have to work on wearing the hat. Nigel goes a little crazypants over hats.
Hope your Sunday was all you hoped it would be!

Old Girls Rule...

Lily, our old, befuddled darling (age 13 years, 11 months), being a good sport and modeling the Santa hat that Nigel rejected. It works for you, Lil! Old girls rule!!

The Waterfowl Festival

This was waterfowl weekend in Easton. The 40th Annual Waterfowl Festival, a wildlife art, and sportsman's expo, held the second weekend in November.

Warning #1. If you're not a dog person, you might want to scroll through quickly. My camera seems to automatically focus on dogs. Try as I might to broaden my photographic horizons, if there are plenty of dogs around, I will come home with mostly dog pictures. It's beyond my control.  Warning #2, if you are a dog lover, there's a picture of a chocolate lab puppy coming up, that will make you want to lick your screen! So, here's my dog loving view of the Waterfowl Festival.
Let's start with the ever-popular Delmarva Dock Dogs competition...where I learned that taking pictures of dogs in flight, takes a little practice...

There! That's better...

There were adoptable dogs also...

I have to say, Talbot County is a great fall getaway any weekend. Seriously, people come from Baltimore and Washington to eat in our restaurants. For more info about the festival, click here, Waterfowl Festival.
Hope your weekend was at least fun, if not actually, "festive."
