SCENES FROM A SUNDAY DRIVE

Sunshine today, finally. We took a drive...
Deal Island, Maryland
Crab pots.
Even a waterman needs a lumberjack hat this time of year,
Turns out this little dilapidated crab shack was chock full of kitties who were surprisingly friendly, and seemed to think we had come to feed them. Note to self: add a bag of dry cat food to out road trip supplies. These little waterfront towns are teeming with hungry strays.
See? Friendly.
Deer carcass in the Pocomoke forest.
Snow geese in Snow Hill.
Finished, with a little antiquing, then home for leftovers. Made turkey enchiladas yesterday, to celebrate Mr. C.'s birthday. Didn't have a chance to feed him on the day, as he was off to New Orleans. Don't you think some dishes are even better the second day, when all those spicy flavors have had a chance to get to know each other in the fridge overnight?
Hope you have an amazing week! XO.
