"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order." ~ John Burroughs

Baby sika deer.
I needed a breath of fresh, if frigid air today. Drove down to Blackwater and was amply rewarded.
"One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." ~ William Shakespeare

  1. Mary - How fortunate you were to see that sweet baby deer. I particularly like the photo of the feather. Oh and the fence line. Oh and the eagle, oh I just love them all. It looks like a lovely walk (cold). Best, Kim

  2. Thanks, Kim. I cheated and took Wildlife Drive in my truck, hopping out when I saw something interesting. The little deer popped right into the road in front of me and let me get quite close before scampering off. I thought it was a baby goat at first. Didn't see a single heron (unusual), but counted six bald eagles, the most I've spotted on one visit. It was indeed very cold. XO,

  3. AMAZING photos, as always, Mary!

I love hearing from you!
