Treat Ride

Had some good Christmas-y (but very chilly) fun with the ladies today. We delivered homemade treats, on horseback, to all the neighbors who so kindly allow us to ride across their property. Mr. C. came along on foot to take pics and assist with the logistics (we hadn't really thought about how we were going to knock on doors without dismounting). Sandy, from down the road, loaned us her parade bells, so we jingled merrily as we went...
Made some tags for my bags of Date Balls...
Dressed Zoey up a bit.  Mr. C. thought she looked like a slightly demented superhero in her red Sleazy.
Waited for the ladies to arrive, added Christmas bows, posed for a photo and off we went...

Hope you found time to have a little bit of Christmas-y fun today!

Pizza! Pizza!

Had a different post planned for today, but I went for a trail ride and when I came back, Mr. C. had made this...
His very own recipe for Turkey Sub Pizza. Add a glass (okay, two) of red wine and I am feeling blessed.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It was a beautiful day for riding and playing in the river...

A sparkling clear day.

Following Eliza and Mack.

Zoey, checking out the driftwood.

The view from Zoey.

Zoey and me.

Eliza and Mack.
Lest you think the day too perfect, Zoey did a 360 degree spook on the way back to the barn, very nearly dumping me in the neighbor's front yard. Nevertheless, I feel blessed for having this sparkling clear fall day, and a friend to ride with. I'll feel even more blessed if I can figure out how to get that amazing piece of driftwood home and in my garden.
